Modal verbs are auxiliary verbs that express ability, possibility, permission, obligation, advice, or necessity. They are followed by the base form of the main verb in sentences. Common examples include “can,” “could,“ “may,“ “might,“ “must,“ “have to,“ “should,“ “ought to,“ “shall,“ “will,” and “would.” This test will help assess whether you correctly understand what they are and their uses in English sentences.
The modal verb quiz consists of 20 questions, each with four multiple-choice answers. Read each question carefully and choose the correct answer from the choices. Ultimately, you can view your results and score.
